We Truly Care About Your Health
Growing up in the Bay Area during the 1970s, I was involved in constructing wooden houses without the regulations we have today. Now residing in Calistoga, my focus lies on addressing the challenges of building in Wildland-Urban Interface (W.U.I.) fire-prone areas. I am dedicated to promoting the benefits of hemp products and advocating for companies that contribute to a healthy lifestyle and fire-resistant building solutions. Hemp, with its natural properties, offers a safe and sustainable alternative to conventional toxic building materials.
My objective is to transform this store into a comprehensive hub for hemp-based products, covering everything from foundation to finishing touches.
My journey into the world of hemp began with a simple necessity – hand lotion for my weathered hands due to years of construction work. The turning point came when I discovered The Body Shop Hemp products, HempZ lotions, and Hemp seed oil, which not only healed my cuticles but also left my hands remarkably smooth and resilient.
During the pandemic, I expanded my use of hemp products. Hemp t-shirts proved to be a revelation, providing exceptional comfort for work, unlike cotton that tends to foster bacteria and odors. These anti-microbial hemp t-shirts can be worn multiple times before needing a wash, making them invaluable, especially when interacting with clients at the end of a long day.
The transition to hemp masks followed, offering a sustainable and reusable solution that significantly reduces the environmental impact caused by disposable masks filling landfills.
Turning to outdoor projects, I chose Hemp Shield’s cedar tone stain for my cedar deck. The application process was effortless, resembling the consistency of milk, and the instructions emphasized a thin coat. The results were impressive – a great-looking deck with minimal product usage and no unpleasant odors. After years of exposure to toxic stains, this hemp-based alternative has proven to be a remarkable and eco-friendly choice.
